From July 15th to August 15th we held a Remix Competition where any registered user of MultiTracks.com could download (for free) the original master recording of "All the Poor and Powerless" from The Digital Age. Well many of you downloaded and 27 of you sent in some really creative remixes of the song. Some of you remixed the tracks, others used nothing but the lead vocal and you added your own tracks. We removed names and descriptions and sent all 27 to The Digital Age for them to chose the winner and we're excited to announce that The Digital Age chose Christopher Lewis with his fantastic submission titled "The Flat Line Remix." Christopher won a bunch of cool prizes listed here, valued at more than $2000. The competition was a remix of The Digital Age's cover of "All The Poor & Powerless" from their digital album release called"Rehearsals."
We've now posted 12 MultiTracks, LiteTracks and Rehearsal Mixes from Israel & New Breed's live recording "Jesus At The Center!"
Barry Westman of All About Worship recently had the opportunity to interview Phillip Edwards, Co-Founder & CEO of MultiTracks.com, about using loops, click tracks, and multi-tracks in church. We hope you find this interview helpful!
Assuming many of our readers may have never used click tracks or loops before, can you start with some general definitions of terms we often hear? What is a click track? A loop? A Multi-track?
This week we are releasing the MultiTracks for Jared Anderson's new single "Impossible Possible" off of his upcoming album "The Narrow Road" which will be released September 4, 2012. Jared Anderson is well known for being a worship leader at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO, and one of the founding members of Desperation Band. Anderson has written many popular songs that you have probably sung before, including "Great I Am," "Glorified," and "Amazed." Jared's new album will undoubtedly be sung in many churches for years to come.
Hey everyone, it's Oscar here with MultiTracks. I want to share a quick tip on how I use Ableton's group tracks function. Grouping tracks is a great way to organize your tracks for live mixing and adjustments. It gives you the ability to control more sounds with less mapping to your MIDI device. I group my tracks by the instrument they belong to, loops, guitars, keyboards and strings are all separate groups. So when I go to map them to either my MIDI keyboard or my iPad I only have one fader for each instrument. Lately, I've been doing this more and more since many of our new MultiTrack sessions can have up to 20 + stems. During sound check I found myself spending too much time adjusting individual faders. Now, by grouping the tracks has saved me some time during sound check, but it does require some set up time beforehand. Here are the steps to be able to do this.
GRAMMY Award-winning artist Israel & New Breed have just released their first live recording in five years titled "Jesus At The Center" today! This album was recorded at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX with thousands of people in attendance and the feel of "live" worship was definitely captured on the album. In true New Breed fashion, the vocal performances are stellar and the musicianship is off the charts. Today, we are releasing 14 MultiTracks, LiteTracks and Rehearsal Mixes from the album "Jesus At The Center." For the month of August we are also offering 10% off all original master recordings from Israel & The New Breed by using the discount code "ISRAEL." This discount is valid on top of any discounts for buying credits in bulk.
We know your time is valuable... that's why we created Rehearsal Mix. Here is a brief testimonial from one of our users on their experience:
"For our worship team members, quality rehearsal time is always on high demand. And as the ministry leader who leads every week, sometimes its easy to get comfortable in the weekly routine and I can forget how important it is for the team members to be as prepared as they can be, in order to be more productive for the ministry. Rehearsal Mix has been amazing for our team as they have had the freedom to practice songs in a more detailed way then I would ever be able to give them in a 1 or 2 hour mid-week rehearsal. To be able to have access to a musical track specific to their instrument or vocal part has been invaluable as it not only prepares them better, but gives them more confidence in the fact that their part matters..."
