‘Tis the Season for planning your Christmas Productions… and for us at MultiTracks.com that means our requests for One-on-One Skype training sessions are about to go through the roof! It’s usually right before Christmas and Easter that we seem to get a lot of questions through our support forum about how to use Ableton Live to trigger lighting, lyrics, and video, which makes sense… it takes a lot of work to learn how to execute it well.
As technology progresses in these areas, we’re hearing more requests for training from people who are interested in creating an excellent production, but looking to do so with:
-Smaller budget and smaller staff
-Less mistakes
-Less stress (trying to nail every cue, every time)
-Excellence while maintaining freedom (to feel less like a "Production")
-Ability to save time
This year we’d like to help. Whether you’re in a mega-church or a mobile church, we’re offering a new training series that can show you how Ableton Live can be used to tie your production elements together and create a seamless flow in your service.
Next week, our Director of Training and Development, Will Doggett will be offering three courses as live webinars:
-(November 16th) Controlling Lyrics with Ableton Live Free/Premium
-(November 18th) Controlling Video with Ableton Live Free/Premium
-(November 20th) Controlling Lights with Ableton Live Free/Premium
Each course will be approx 3 hours long and Will can show you how it’s done and share plenty of time saving tips and mistakes to avoid along the way… AND for those who are able to attend the courses live, you can attend for free if you’re registered with MultiTracks.com!
There will be an actual cost for the event once the live webinar is over which is a “Premium Registration” which is $150 per course or $300 for all three. The important thing to know is that the Premium Registration will give you access to the Templates that Will has prepared for each concept which will save you incredible amounts of time if you’re ready to execute these concepts in your church. You’ll also get access to the edited version of the webinar that will allow you to learn the concept at your own pace. The edited version will also come with case studies of churches doing this concept, interviews with industry experts, and some bonus footage.
This really is an amazing opportunity to skip a lot of the trouble and headaches and get right to programming your productions with Ableton Live.
Here’s a quick look at what’s included in each course and who they are for:
Who is this for?
-The Worship Leader who has been tasked with putting on an excellent production but has limited time and resources to pull it off.
-The Tech Leader that is trying to program and create an incredible experience but with limited staff and time.
-The Worship Leader trying to to figure out how to maintain a high level of excellence for Christmas services at multiple campuses.
-The Worship Leader that wants to save time each week creating their set and programming their lights, lyrics and video.
-The Worship Leader that wants their “Productions” to feel less produced and have more freedom to respond and adapt in the moment.
What this is not. (Important Disclaimers):
-This is not a “How to run Multi Tracks in Ableton Live Course.” You’ll need to know basics of Ableton Live and how to build a set before the course. You’ll definitely pick up a few pointers here and there, but we won’t focus our time on how to run MulitTracks in Ableton Live.
-This is not a “How to use ProPresenter” course. We’ll show you how to control ProPresenter but you’ll need to have basic ProPresenter knowledge before the course.
-This is not a “How to Setup your Lights and Lighting Console Course.” We’ll show you how to get from Ableton Live to a Lighting Console/Software and how to control it-but you (or your lighting designer) will need to know how to setup the lights.
-This is not a “How to Create Lyric Videos Course.” We’ll show you how to use Ableton Live to control video content, but you’ll need to know how to create (or where to buy) lyric videos.
-This is not a video version of a manual - it’s more than that. You’ll get step by step instructions on how to do each concept, but you’ll also get years of experience and tips and tricks along the way.
-This is not simply a Youtube screencast - it’s much more than that. Screencasts are great-I’ve done a lot of them, but this is an in depth breakdown of each concept, how it applies specifically in a worship environment and templates that would take many hours to replicate (included in the Premium Registration)
