Worship leader and songwriter, Matt Maher, has just released a brand new single, Because He Lives (Amen): a powerful anthem that expresses our freedom in Christ, inspired by Bill Gaither's modern hymn of the same name.
"It's an interesting, poignant thought to think of, that everything we do as Christians comes after the fact of the resurrection," Matt states as he shares the story behind the song. Because He Lives (Amen) begins with a profession of faith and continues with a testimony of how Christ saved us, all the while rejoicing, "Amen Amen, I'm alive, I'm alive because He lives!" The lyrics of the bridge are taken directly from Gaither's hymn: "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, every fear is gone. I know He holds my life, my future in His hands." It is a great reminder that all that we do and all that we are is because Jesus lives.
