"In The River" is the brand new single from Jesus Culture's upcoming live worship album, Let It Echo, which was recorded at Jesus Culture Church in Sacramento and releases worldwide on January 15. With its catchy, melodic hook and great energy, it's a fun song that is both lyrically and musically joyful. Worship leader Kim Walker-Smith shares," This song, "In the River," is all about the joy of the Lord and coming alive in His presence."
She explains that the song's writers, Chris Quilala, Joshua Silverberg, Mark Alan Schoolmeesters, and Ryan Williams, approached a number of pastors and asked them what kinds of songs they felt their church needed more of and they all answered unanimously that they wanted more songs about joy. "In The River" was written with this in mind, celebrating the fullness of life and freedom we have in the presence of God. Worshippers will rejoice as they sing, "Bursting, bursting up from the ground, we feel it now. Bursting, bursting up from the ground, we feel it now. We come alive in the river, we come alive in the river. We come alive in the river, we come alive in the river." This will definitely make a great addition to your set list!
