New Patches by Will Doggett Now Available for Ableton Live!

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, Sounds
Today we’re excited to announce our first ever patch collection for Ableton Live!  Reflective Pianos was created by Ableton Live Certified Trainer Will Doggett and is a collection of 11 Piano patches for Ableton Live 9 intro and higher. They don’t require any external plugins or effects. They are custom samples of a 9 foot Grand Piano that have been customized and paired with effects to create the perfect emotive, reflective piano for modern worship songs. Each sound can quickly be transformed using the programmed macros on each Instrument Rack. You can change the overall vibe of the piano as well as how it interacts with your controller. The 11 Presets are meant to showcase the power and range of this collection of sounds, but are also meant to be transformed easily using the built in Ableton effects. Will has been creating sounds and keyboard patches for Ableton Live for over 7 years and this collection has been about 5 years in the making. “This project initially started as a test to see if I could sample our church's 9 foot grand piano”, says Will. “A friend and I sat down and sampled the piano and I had these incredible samples sitting on my hard drive for years. After some tweaks and loading them into Ableton I realized I had something special on my hands and worked to pair them with Ableton’s effects and program it all in an Instrument Rack for ultimate power and flexibility”. The collection showcases Ableton’s power of processing and its effects. A quick turn of a macro on an Instrument Rack can completely transform the sound into something new. One of the real standouts of the collection is "Altar," which is a warm, mellow, ambient piano that you won’t be able to stop playing. "Sugar Rose" takes a typical piano sound and pairs it with an octave effect to help it cut through whether you’re playing chords or single notes. "Emotional Layers" adds a simple reverse delay to your piano sound that makes single note lines really shine and adds an almost pad-like ambience to chords. And there are numerous ‘verb’d out’ ambient pianos that will sit perfectly in the background of a song. If you’re an Ableton Live user and you’ve been looking for a great modern effected piano, you’re going to want to check out Reflective Pianos! Reflective Pianos - Will Doggett
