Vertical Church Band has released their fourth album, Frontiers, following up on their 2015 release Church Songs. The band's aim has always been to create music that would minister to their home church of Harvest Bible Chapel and this live recording introduces 11 new songs that present a message that not only speaks to the present needs of their congregation, but invites believers everywhere to live for something greater. Vertical Church Band previously released two singles from Frontiers, "1000 Tongues" and "Exalted Over All," and now the MultiTracks are available for the rest of the album!
"This We Know" is a powerful testimony of the sovereignty of Jesus. It praises His constant presence in our lives and all the ways He has proven faithful and offers a bold declaration of our trust in Him, "This we know, we will see the enemy run. This we know, we will see the victory come. We hold on to every promise you ever made, Jesus, you are unfailing." Musically intense and full of passion, "Come Holy Spirit" expresses a desire and desperation for the presence of God and seeks His spirit to move over us. It approaches Him with awe, singing, "Come Holy Spirit, come. Rush in like a flood, Heaven open up. Come in never-ending waves. I am swept away, Holy Spirit Come." "Your Mercy" praises Jesus for how He reached for us as the Father ran to the prodigal, and died so we would be free from our sin and shame. It testifies of His grace and mercy and expresses a heart of gratitude and repentance, worshipping, "Your mercy, your mercy. I stand before my king and I bow my heart to sing. You saved me, you raised me. You died so I could live, no greater love than this, your mercy."
