Worship leader, recording artist, and award-winning songwriter Travis Ryan has released a brand new five-song EP called You Hold It All. This new release was recorded live at LifePoint Church just outside of Nashville where Travis serves as worship pastor and is a testament to God's faithfulness, born out of the circumstances of his life and the journey that God has providentially led him on.
"We Believe" was made popular by Newsboys and has been nominated for the GMA Dove Award Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year. The song has become an important anthem for the Church, publicly professing what it is that we believe with a familiar affirmation that has been spoken for generations, "We believe in God the Father, we believe in Jesus Christ. We believe in the Holy Spirit and He's given us new life. We believe in the Crucifixion, we believe that He conquered death. We believe in the resurrection and He's coming back again, we believe." Travis states, "It's the Nicene Creed, the Apostles' Creed-it's just foundationally what we believe as a church. God took that song on a journey, and He has used Newsboys to carry that song around the world." "Forever Holy" emphasizes how God is worthy of our worship in the midst of all circumstances, taking our praise from the present to the day when we will stand face to face with Him as we forever proclaim His holiness, "Be it ever on our tongues ‘til we’ve lived our lives and returned to dust only to be raised up, to bow and sing once more You are holy Lord, Forever holy Lord."
The title track "You Hold It All" is a powerful ballad that recognizes God's sovereignty and hand in everything. Months after Travis co-wrote the song with Jordan Merritt and his brother Brandon, his wife Hayley miscarried. He shares, "The first thing I thought was, 'OK, do I believe that God holds it all? My wife and I looked at each and were like, 'Wow, God gave us that line because He knows the future. He gave us that anchor-a cornerstone-just to walk through that difficult time. God wrote that on our hearts before we even knew we were going to be walking through this season."
