Soulfire Revolution, the worship expression of Bogotá, Colombia's MCI Church has released a new album in both English and Spanish, bringing a spirit of revival to a wide and diverse audience. Afterglow was recorded live in Bogotá and is filled with a mix of energetic praise and intimate worship intended to help guide people to a genuine and life-changing encounter with God. Lead singer Lorena Castellanos comments, “I believe this is the greatest time for the church around the world. The Holy Spirit is visiting us and it’s amazing to see healing and lives changed through worship, we are Jesus’ AFTERGLOW and this is what this album is about.”
Soulfire Revolution released their first single, "Set the World On Fire" last month and it has since become a favorite among their fans. With great energy and a fun, dance-praise style, it encourages people that the passion God's spirit ignites within us can change the world. Lorena shares, "We believe that God's fire needs to happen in us first in order to see it in our community -- it is a message to get back to God." "Lost In Your Love" is another upbeat, synth-driven anthem that shares the testimony of God's grace and love in our lives. The chorus offers full surrender, joyfully declaring, "I give You my heart. I give You my soul. Come take it all. I'm lost in Your love."
One of the most moving songs on the album is the worship ballad "You Have Won My Heart." It expresses a deep hunger for Christ and acknowledges our desperate need for the Savior, "For all You are is all I need. I'm seeking You until I find You. There's nowhere else I'd rather be. I fall upon Your endless mercy." The music drops back, allowing for a moment of prayer and silent devotion before the voices come back in to repeat the phrase "You have won my heart. You have won my soul. Jesus, You're my all, Jesus You're my all." With these words, the song builds dynamically, ending in prayerful adoration.
The band writes, "The purpose of our album Afterglow is to take the light of Jesus and share it with others, we really pray each one of these songs will speak to your heart, they are truly a cry for the revelation of the Holy Spirit."
