Husband and wife duo Seth and Nirva recently released their full-length debut album Never Alone through Integrity Music. It features songwriting collaborations with a number of award winning songwriters and artists including Michael Farren, Mia Fieldes, Israel Houghton, and TobyMac and introduces 11 new songs that showcase the pair's unique musical sound as it shares a message of God's presence in our lives. Seth comments, "Never Alone isn't simply a declaration of our need for God or a prayer for God's provision and power, it's also a reminder of the truth that He is with us. It might seem paradoxical, but part of the human experience is this back and forth between fear and doubt on the one hand, and confidence and conviction on the other."
"We want to be part of helping our brothers and sisters recover their courage, develop their character, grow in their understanding of the biblical worldview and connect with God on a daily basis through study and worship," he continues. "We want to use the gifts and tools God has given us--in the context of singing and making music--to serve and encourage the Church, as well as to take part in the renewal He is bringing. That renewal will enable us to stand firm and impact our spheres of influence with the Gospel in a day when culture is set against us."
Listeners will find a variety of styles from contemporary pop to R&B on Never Alone as the couple draws from their musical influences as well as their backgrounds of singing with the likes of TobyMac, Mandisa, Chris Tomlin, and Kirk Franklin. One of the songs that will greatly appeal to worshippers is an incredible new arrangement of All Sons and Daughters' popular anthem, "Great Are You Lord," which offers our highest praise to God with great passion and adoration. "You Are In Control" is an upbeat pop anthem that declares the sovereignty of God and acknowledges His omniscience as it professes of our trust in His will, "Oh, You are in control, never letting go. What can keep Your love away from me? Oh, You are in control. The universe is Yours and by Your Word You hold it all together."
Seth and Nirva share that "Brother," written by The Brilliance, is one of the most personal tracks on the album: a song that prays that we may see those around us through God's eyes and break down barriers with His love. Seth comments, "'Brother' hit us really hard. Can we honestly sing those lyrics? It's such a beautiful vision of what we want to be, directly rooted in Jesus' teaching. Hopefully, this song becomes an entry point for more discussion. After all, the kingdom of God in all its diversity, is the biggest movement on Earth."
