Worship leader and Dove Award-winning songwriter Paul Baloche has released a new album entitled Your Mercy which introduces a new season in his ministry as he and his wife recently relocated to New York City after serving in the same church and community in Texas for 26 years. Paul collaborated with a number of artists including All Sons & Daughters, Matt Redman, Aaron Shust, and Vertical Church Band's Andi Rozier, in writing for the album and it was recorded live in a Brooklyn studio over the course of several nights. These are songs for the local church that are congregational in nature with stripped down instrumentation and Paul shares that the project is “honest worship sessions with very few overdubs, a back-to-basics simplicity of worship… singing together new prayers and songs as a community to glorify God.”
"Your Mercy" is a tender anthem that gives testimony to the incredible grace of God, praising how He pursued us when we were lost and made the ultimate sacrifice so we could have life. It encourages us to approach Him with a heart of repentance and gratitude, recognizing just how much He's done for us as it worships, "Your mercy, Your mercy. I stand before my king and I bow my heart to sing. You save me, You raise me, You died so I could live. No greater love than this, Your Mercy." "Found in You" invites God to move among us and open our eyes to His truths. It rejoices in the freedom and wholeness we find in His presence and praises Him for His sovereignty and sufficiency, declaring "All we want and all we need is found in You, found in You. Jesus, every victory is found in You, found in You." "Once For All" tells the story of the cross where Jesus took our place, freeing us from sin and death. It recognizes His grace and love for us and exalts Him as the Risen Savior and King. The chorus reminds us that "Once for all You died so I could live again. Once for all You washed away our sin. Streams of mercy and love flowing free forevermore and your blood ran down once for all."
Your Mercy presents a message of God's grace and love in a way that will speak to people in congregations everywhere. Be sure to check out all of the songs from the album, now available on iTunes.
