We are excited to bring you the MultiTracks from John Mark McMillan's 6th solo album and first live recording, Live at the Knight. This powerful night of worship was recorded at the Knight Theatre in John Mark's hometown of Charlotte, NC. It features a lineup of notable guest artists that includes his wife Sarah McMillan, Jesus Culture's Kim Walker-Smith, and Bryan & Katie Torwalt performing with him on some of his most well-known anthems such as "How He Loves" and "Future / Past" as well as newer favorites from his recent EP, You Are The Avalanche.
John Mark shares, "Live At The Knight represents one of the most memorable nights of my life. As I scanned the crowd, I was overwhelmed by the number of faces I recognized from all over the world. People drove from as far as New York and flew in from places like Oregon, California, Canada, even Hong Kong. The night was more than a night to simply record audio and video. It was a night to live and revel in the goodness of our Maker together. To capture this moment in my hometown with so many people I love was an absolute dream."
"How He Loves" was nominated for a GMA Dove Award for Worship Song of the Year and has been listed by Integrity Music as one of the 25 most influential worship songs in the past 25 years. This new version, which John Mark leads with Kim Walker-Smith, is both heartfelt and intimate, utilizing beautiful imagery and great passion to praise the incredible depth of God's love for us. Originally found on John Mark's Borderland album, "Future / Past" describes the majesty of God, noting in wonder that in all His magnificence, He desires a relationship with us. It reverently proclaims our undying devotion and acknowledges that He is everything, "You are my first, You are my last. You are my future and my past." "King of My Heart" debuted on John Mark and Sarah's EP, You Are the Avalanche. This anthem emphasizes the goodness of God, pointing to a constant and faithful Creator who will never let us go. The verses invite God to be the center of our lives as the chorus declares with great passion, "You are good, good, oh!"
John Mark McMillan is known for the depth in his writing and any of these songs would work well in a corporate worship setting. Live at the Knight is now available on iTunes. Download your copy today!
