New From Tim Hughes - Pocketful Of Faith

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
Tim Hughes has been an influential songwriter and worship leader for the last 15 years, having co-founded Worship Central and penned such praise and worship favorites as "Happy Day," "Beautiful One," and his Dove Award winning anthem, "Here I Am To Worship."  Tim's newly released fifth studio album, Pocketful of Faith, reflects a new chapter in his life as he has stepped out in faith and relocated from London to Birmingham to plant a new church. "This project has been a very personal one for me," he shares.  "These songs are prayers, cries of hope, declarations of promises, vulnerable, raw longings for God to do something truly extraordinary.  I don't know about you, but I'm all too aware of my shortcomings and weaknesses. But I want to be someone who offers up my 'Pocketful Of Faith' and lives a life believing that God could do something immeasurably more than I could dare dream or imagine." Pocketful Of Faith features songs co-written with Martin Smith, Matt Redman, Hillsong Worship's Reuben Morgan, Phil Wickham, and Jonas Myrin along with Worship Central's Nick Herbert, Luke Hellebronth, and Ben Cantelon.  "Only The Brave" is an exciting praise song that encourages believers to trust in God's promises.  With a driving passion, it praises the hope we have in God, acknowledging that His love gives us strength and declaring, "Only the brave will go where You go into the fire but never alone.  We know You'll always carry us home.  Only the brave will go where You go."  "Hope And Glory" prayerfully expresses a longing to see God moving in all the nations once again.  It recognizes that we are lost without Him and that He has the power to do amazing things, transforming hearts and entire nations.  The chorus states, "Only You can move the mountain. Only You can heal our land.  Christ alone, our hope and glory.  Christ alone, in You we stand." The title track, "Pocketful of Faith" was inspired by the words of Jesus in Luke 17:6 when he spoke to His disciples of having faith the size of a mustard seed.  Even when we feel overwhelmed and our faith seems small, we can bring it to God and He can do something miraculous.  The song offers all we have to Him and places our trust in His greatness, "You will always have my heart.  Everyday I'll trust You more, oh God.  Take this pocketful of faith. It is all I have today.  I'm giving it all.  I'm giving it all." With overriding themes of faith and obedience, Pocketful Of Faith presents some great new anthems that will find a place in the hearts of worshippers and in the church.  Tim says, "My prayer now is that these songs would be a blessing to many churches and individuals as they seek God earnestly, trusting and believing in someone that has a greater purpose for our lives…to be part of something bigger."  Get your copy of the album today, now available on iTunes.
