Award winning band The City Harmonic is well known for their eclectic modern hymns and worship anthems of longing, hope, and celebration. They have released their third full-length album We Are, capturing what gets them up in the morning and keeps them grounded no matter what they face. Lead vocalist Elias Dummer says, "It's easy in the craziness of making music to lose sight of why you started. But we've been through a lot together. The City Harmonic was originally birthed out of a number of small churches of various denominations in Hamilton, Ontario uniting under the banner TrueCity in order to help revitalize a dying community left abandoned by the steel industry. Each member of the band came from a different church, joining together with a mission to bring unity and the truth of Christ to their community and to the world. They ask, "Do you want less division and more unity? There is good news: we are one in Christ! And we, the Church, have a job to do as His body. We truly believe--and have seen first-hand--that communities can change for good as we work together in unity like a family. It's a small step with an enormous impact. It starts with us." Their first single "We Are One" emphasizes the band's mission. This strong anthem opens with a catchy piano hook and a strong beat, encouraging people from "every tongue and tribe" to boldly declare our unity in Christ, singing, "For we are one. We are all for one. All for Jesus. Jesus, once for all to the glory of the one true God." "Into Your Arms" speaks of the unrelenting love of God and recognizes that our own efforts will never be enough. It rejoices in the freedom we experience when we relinquish all control to Christ and fall into His arms. "All Of This and More" explores the way God's greatness extends beyond anything we can comprehend. The chorus praises that He is "More than a fleeting touch, more than just flesh and blood. More than a mystery, You're all of this and more. More than a promise kept, more than my life and death. More than a miracle, You're all of this and more, all of this and more."
