Fronted by Jordan Frye, Urban Rescue's mission is to inspire the next generation of believers to see their churches, communities, and cities awakened by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The LA-based revival band has released Wild Heart as its first full length album with Rend Family Records. Wild Heart was originally released as a 5 track EP in January of this year and received an incredibly positive response. This new album offers listeners all of the tracks from the EP along with 6 additional new songs, which Urban Rescue has been introducing to listeners while traveling with Rend Collective on their "As Family We Go" Tour.
"His Name" is a beautiful anthem that was originally released on the EP and has been resonating with listeners ever since. It encourages people to surrender all of their deepest struggles to Jesus, in whose name they can find healing and restoration. The chorus offers the truths of God's character in times of desperation and hopelessness, reminding people that, "His name is healer of your deepest scars. Father of your broken heart. His name is mercy, power, freedom. Oh His name, oh His name, His name is Jesus." Worshippers will love Urban Rescue's version of "Alive In You," which Jordan co-wrote with Jesus Culture artists Kim Walker-Smith and Skylar Smith and which appears on Jesus Culture's latest album, Let It Echo. The song praises God's sovereignty in all circumstances and firmly declares of His faithfulness, "You are God, You're the Great I Am. Breath of life I breathe You in. Even in the fire I'm alive in You! You are strong in my brokenness, sovereign over every step. Even in the fire, I'm alive, I'm alive in You." The album's radio single, "Never Stop" speaks of God's unrelenting love even when we may wander. Jordan writes, "God's love is less like a math equation, and more like the ocean - wave after wave endlessly crashing on the shore. No matter how far you've wandered, His love never stops pursuing you." It will have worshippers dancing as they rejoice that, "Your love will never stop, never stop, never stop. Your love will never stop chasing after me!"
