Outback Worship Sessions is a brand new project from Planetshakers, taking some of their best loved praise and worship songs and re-crafting them into acoustic versions that are simpler, more organic, and they give a broad reach to the sound of Planetshakers. "Outback Worship Sessions is about taking our message further, sharing with as many as possible and empowering generations to win generations," says worship pastor, BJ Pridham. "I think as a church, we have organically reached a younger audience. We want to be intentional to reach not just one generation, but all generations."
These reimagined versions will certainly appeal to worship leaders and worshippers alike. "Nothing Is Impossible" presents a great message of faith that echoes Philippians 4:13, retaining the intensity of the original while giving it a smoother, more expansive feel. The chorus proclaims, "Through You, I can do anything, I can do all things cause it’s You who give me strength. Nothing is impossible. Through You, blind eyes are opened, strongholds are broken. I am living by faith. Nothing is impossible!" Opening with an intimate, acoustic sound, "Leave Me Astounded" seeks God's presence and expresses great desire for Him to move in our lives, acknowledging that He is the only One who satisfies. It prayerfully invites, "Spirit fall, open up heaven's door. We're waiting with worship for more. You're the only love that satisfies me. Lord we run into your loving arms. We're safe and secure in your love. You're the only love that satisfies me."
"Spirit of God" is a new song on the album, co-written by Grammy- and Dove-Award winning Ed Cash, who also produced the album. It's a prayer of adoration and an expression of need, of opening ourselves up to the Spirit and inviting Him to move over us, "Spirit of the living God have Your way in us, have Your way in us.
