MultiTracks Now Available from JJ Weeks Band - As Long As We Can Breathe

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
JJ Weeks Band has just released their brand new album, As Long As We Can Breathe.  It marks the seventh full-length project for the group and the first in a partnership with Centricity music.  The band's frontman, JJ Weeks, comments, “Making a difference in people’s lives is why we really do this.  We can sing for two hours and it will not change anything, but God can move in a moment and change everything. That’s just how big our God is. Our central message remains, ‘Come to Jesus,’ because He loves us more than we can ever understand.” The album reflects this message as it reminds listeners of God's peace and presence. The project's lead single, "Alive In Me" celebrates the incredible power of Christ and rejoices that He is alive in us.  The lyrics proclaim our faith with great sincerity as they emphasize Jesus' greatness, "The very same light that pierced the dark, the very same word that stilled the sea.  The very same spirit that tore the veil is alive in me, You're alive in me.  The very same power that healed our hearts, the very same love that sets us free, the very same spirit that conquered death is alive in me, You're alive in me."  "Rooftops" motivates worshippers to shine God's light to the world and to live passionately for Him, "Shout it from the rooftops, shout it in the street. Shout it with the passion so everyone can see. We are holding fire as long as we can breathe. Shout it from the rooftop."  The song features popular Christian hip-hop artist Tedashii and conveys its missional message with a strong sound and powerful beat.  "Higher" calls for worshippers to focus upward on Christ and look past their own circumstances.  JJ comments, "The song just reminds us to look higher, to look at who [God] is and how faithful He is.  One thing goes wrong and all of our attention goes to that one thing, and we totally forget the overall greatness of what God is doing in our life... He's bigger than the mess we go through, and I think it's good to be constantly reminded that He is the One who's controlling the storm. At the end of the day, He's got it in His hands."  The chorus encourages, "Look a little higher than the storm that's all around.  Look a little higher than the rain that's pouring down.  If the morning hasn't come, then your story isn't done.  Look a little higher." As Long As We Can Breathe is now available on iTunes.  Be sure to check out this great new album out and download your copy today! As Long As We Can Breathe - JJ Weeks Band
