MultiTracks from Ashes by Mia Fieldes Now Available!

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
This week Mia Fieldes released her debut EP, Ashes. She has co-written many songs that are being led in worship all around the world, including such favorites as Matt Maher's "Christ Is Risen" and Vertical Church Band's "Not For A Moment (After All)," and we're excited to share this EP as her first venture into releasing her own music as a recording artist. Ashes showcases Mia's songwriting talents with songs that can speak to a wide range of audiences, from a large congregation corporately lifting up their voices in praise, to a single person worshiping privately in his or her own room. “I just want people to know Jesus," Mia says, "because if you have Him, You have everything: All the joy, all the hope, all the love, all the goodness—everything.” Her first single, "Fearless" which released earlier this year claims the promises of 2 Corinthians 12, as it speaks of putting our complete faith and trust in Jesus, knowing that we don't need to fear anything because He is for us and is always with us.  The chorus boldly proclaims, "I am fearless in Your presence. You're all around me, all around me. In my weakness, You are strongest, You surround me, You surround me."  The title track, "Ashes" reinforces this theme of faith in those moments where we feel hopeless, placing it all in His hands and allowing Him to breathe new life into us, singing, "From the ashes, from the ashes, you call my heart to life, call my heart to life. From the silence, from the sadness, you call my heart to life, call my heart to life." "If I Have You" is a beautiful worship ballad that praises Jesus for His sufficiency.  Taking all control out of our hands and placing it in His own as we give Him all of our trust, it acknowledges that only He can satisfy, repeating, "If I have You and nothing else I have everything."  Also included is a great new version of "Christ Is Risen," sharing the good news of Jesus's resurrection.  These songs truly come straight from the heart and focus on giving all of ourselves to the One who is in control of all things. "Worship is a response," Mia says. "It’s a response. I don’t want to complicate it. One of my biggest joys is giving people songs they can respond with in their own way. Songs where they go, ‘That’s something I’ve always wanted to say but maybe didn't know how.’ When I can give people some sort of framework for their own unspoken prayers, or faith for the season they are walking through, there’s nothing better than that.” Ashes - Mia Fieldes
