Only Jesus is the brand new kids worship album from Austin Stone Worship. It features 10 new songs that were created specifically for children and their families so they would have a powerful experience worshiping Jesus by singing, dancing, and exploring basic truths of the gospel. Austin Stone Creative Director of Family Ministries Jesse Reeves shares, "Our desire was more than to just make a good worship album for kids. In the end we wanted a full resource that would invite kids and parents to discover truths about God together as a family. We wanted music that families could sing along to in the car and at home, music that centered everyone’s hearts on the truths of Scripture.” With this in mind, Austin Stone Worship has released a companion devotional guide for the album that will allow families to study the meaning of each song together along with interactive dance videos that will teach them how to dance and sing along.
"Jesus Forever" was one of the album's pre-released singles. It's a song that praises the fact that Jesus is the Risen King and that He is forever. Worship leader Marcus Dawes writes, "Singing 'Jesus Forever' is singing the story of Jesus, who He is and what He’s done. We sing with HOPE in our hearts, knowing that there’s no end to Jesus. He was before time, He stepped into time, and He defeated death and lives and reigns forever! The name of Jesus is the only name that is above all names and is the only name that can save us. Therefore, because of the great work of Jesus Christ, we have much reason to sing to Him! We have much reason to lift Him high!" It rejoices in the life He has given us and proclaims His might, singing, "Jesus You are forever, everlasting light, risen Savior, You are You are You are forever. Jesus You are forever, everlasting life, my heart's forgiven, You are You are You are forever."
"Only Jesus" is another powerful anthem that utilizes a question and answer format to highlight all that Jesus is and show that it is only through Him that we are saved. Austin Stone Worship writes, "Jesus is the only one that comes after us in all of our sin and filth. And He is the only one who, when He comes after us, can actually do anything to help us." The song proclaims His greatness, singing "There's no one like You, You stand alone. No greater love was ever shown. You are our rescue, only Jesus. High and exalted upon Your throne, no greater name was ever known. You are our refuge, only Jesus," and goes on to bring Him our highest exaltation, declaring His holiness. "Tell the World" professes what we know to be true about Jesus, from His incarnation to His resurrection and grace and it shares the decision to boldly testify to all the world that He is the One who saves, "Your name is life, Your name is power. You are our hope in every hour. Your name is light who'll break the darkness. We will tell the world Your name is Jesus, we will tell the world Your name is Jesus."
