Singer, songwriter, and worship leader, Zach Williams, has partnered with Essential Records to release his debut single, "Chain Breaker," a bluesy and soulful tribute to the goodness of God in our lives. Coming from a place of wanting to reach people who have been struggling, Zach shares that the song “speaks to believers as much as it does to non-believers because we all get to places in our lives where we get lukewarm, and we just kind of forget what God’s done in our life. The song is very much the truths of who Jesus is."
Zach drew upon his own personal experiences in writing "Chain Breaker." After he received a sports injury his freshman year of college, he picked up the guitar and found his passion for music. He joined a southern rock band and pretty soon, found himself living a lifestyle that left him empty. A bandmate invited Zach and his wife to church where they found acceptance and people who poured into their lives. Feeling like God was nudging him in a different direction, he quit the band and surrendered himself to Jesus' calling and is now the campus director for the Jonesboro campus of Arkansas' Central Baptist Church, reaching out to people who have never encountered Christ or found their place in a church community. "Chain Breaker" shares Zach's discovery of how a life surrendered to Christ can yield freedom and it shows people that Jesus is the One who can break any addiction and give restoration, "If you've got pain, He's a pain taker. If you feel lost, He's a way maker. If you need freedom or saving, He's a prison-shaking Savior. If you've got chains, He's a chain breaker." This is a powerful message that will speak to the heart of what so many people are struggling with.
