Emmanuel LIVE is a dynamic, passionate and spirit led worship band that serves out of Emmanuel Christian Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This week, we are excited to feature their latest release, What We Hope For, as our Indie Showcase. This new live recording is full of congregational worship that encourages us to look ahead with hopeful anticipation of what God can do as we live lives that are full of faith. Emmanuel LIVE worship leader Mark Alan Schoolmeesters comments, “We are excited to see how God is using the music to reach people, though it’s not at all about whether or not it is successful in the eyes of the world. We never set out to make an album. We are burdened to write songs for our church, out of the journey of faith we are walking and have a strong desire to be a resource to THE local church and these recordings have been a vehicle to do just that.”
"Glory to You" prays that our lives may be an act of worship with every word we speak and every step we take in communion with Christ, bringing honor and praise to Him. The chorus is simple and full of sincerity as it repeats this prayer, "Let my life bring glory, glory to You. Let my life bring glory, glory to You. Let my life bring glory, glory to You. Only to You, only to You." "God, We Exalt You Here " is a joyful anthem that proclaims God's sovereignty and majesty. With great energy, it unites believers in shouting their praise, "God be praised forever and always! God we praise You here. God You reign forever and always. God we exalt You here." It rejoices in His greatness and looks ahead to the day we will stand in His presence and worship Him for all eternity. "Just To Be Closer" voices a longing to be in the presence of God. It's a heart cry to come to know Him more deeply and intimately, recognizing that there is nothing else in this world that compares to Him. It approaches Him with a heart of surrender, declaring, "I want to know You more, I want to hear Your voice. Take me to the secret place where I find You. Where everything fades away and I'm covered by Your grace. There's nothing I want more."
