National recording artist and worship leader, Jeremy Vanderloop has a heart for equipping the church and reaching people with the gospel of Christ. He has been touring since 2008, performing concerts and conducting workshops and round table gatherings for worship ministries, as well as discipling worship leaders in his hometown of Tampa, Florida at Christ Fellowship Church where he serves on staff. His brand new EP, "No Death," was written to encourage people in dark times and in dark seasons with its timeless messages of love and grace. "My passion for ministry and my music is for every individual I come in contact with to have an experience with a very much alive and real Jesus that loves them," Jeremy shares.
Jeremy drew upon personal experiences as he wrote the songs for the album, giving the whole project great authenticity. The first song he wrote was "Love Came Down (Darkest Hour)," which he started to pen for his 17 year old cousin who was diagnosed with a form of colon cancer at the beginning of her senior year of high school. As he continued to work on the song, he shares that many of his close friends found themselves facing painful life situations ranging from cancer diagnoses to divorces, and eventually "Love Came Down" became a song for everyone. It encourages believers to rely on our Savior during these times and the powerful lyrics remind us that it is in Him that we find peace. Jeremy came up with the chorus to "All I Need Is Grace" one day while singing to his daughter, whom he named "Grace" as a reminder of Jesus' work on the cross. As he was singing, he realized that a deep spiritual truth was found in the playful chorus and he turned the song into a congregational anthem that reflects our great need for God's grace in our lives, "I need You God, I need Your life, You shed Your blood to redeem this soul. I need Your hope, I need Your peace in me. All I need is grace." "Without grace, there is no Christianity," he shares. "Without grace, you can't do anything."
The album's title track, "No Death," came about when Jeremy was touring in October of last year. His wife was pregnant, but had a miscarriage while he was away from home. He missed his last day of tour and rushed home to be with her and the next day as he mourned the loss of their unborn child, he began to write a song that is already inspiring many people around the world. It shares that no matter what life throws our way, Jesus conquered hell, death, and the grave and He makes us new and gives us strength. Even in the midst of our struggles, we can rejoice that, "No death can hold You down. You rose up from the ground. Jesus, Your name is highest, hallelujah, hallelujah!"
