Free Worship is a worship band from Chicago-based church, New Life Covenant, whose name speaks to the freedom that they want all people to experience within their own worship and serves as a constant reminder that we must always make room for the move of the Holy Spirit. The band operates under the simple truth that we were all created to worship God. This week, we are featuring their latest album, For Your Glory, as our Indie Showcase. It was recorded live at the church's main campus and is full of worship that is authentic and multicultural.
"Forever You Are Good" is a joyful anthem of God's faithfulness, praising Him in the spirit of Psalm 30:11-12. The song proclaims all that He has done and praises His incredible goodness, declaring, "Forever You are good good good. Forever You are good good good. Forever You are good good good. That's who You are, that's who You are." The album's title track, "For Your Glory" captures the heart of the album with a firm declaration of our faith, surrendering all of our fears and needs to God and acknowledging that He is greater. The chorus offers up a heartfelt statement of our faith that He can do all things as it worships, "I put my trust in You. I put my hope in You. I put my faith in You for Your glory." "I'll Go" testifies of the sovereignty of God and worships with full surrender and a willingness to go wherever He calls us. It recognizes that there is no higher calling than to obey. Also included on the album are two Spanish tracks, Free Worship's cover of Toma Tu Lugar's "Al Que Esta Sentado En El Trono" and a new version of "Good Good Father," entitled "Buen Buen Padre."
