Seasoned independent recording artist, Christian Nuckels' newest worship album Alive and Free consists of 6 original worship songs. Blending overt, guitar-driven modern rock influences with the ethereal synth atmosphere of current worship anthems, Christian ventures a bit off the beaten path of your typical CCM artist. Yet, what makes these songs really resonate are soaring catchy hooks sung with earnest and truthful vocals and biblically solid lyrics straight from God’s Word.
Included on this album is the single “Shepherd,” which has racked up over 165,000 plays on Spotify since being released. Now, Christian is partnering with MultiTracks.com to make available multiple resources for the church from the album including official stem tracks and charts. Christian co-wrote the 6 songs that made it on the album over the course of a 2 year journey, drawing on many friendships across the US to collaborate on the project.
“I really wanted to dig deep and partner with some talented friends to create something new. The church needs to sing a new song, and that’s what God put in my heart”, says Nuckels.
Some of the friends Christian refers to include soul/funk vocalist Mikay, BEC Worship producer / songwriter Chris Clayton, indie rock guitarist Chris Wetterman and Brady Lee of the band Coastlines. When asked to describe his hopes for the album, Nuckels stated “When we put our faith in Jesus, the old person is dead and buried and we are resurrected to a whole new life because of Him. My prayer is that God would use these songs to remind us of the new life we have in Christ as we worship Him for who He is and what He’s done.”
