"This song is a response to the anxiety that I was dealing with when the pandemic first hit. Dealing with a heaviness in my chest and on a spiritual level as well. I remember reading Psalm 18 which starts off with 'I love you Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. My shield, and the horn of my salvation.' And as I began to worship Him, I became growingly grateful for his mercies being new every morning. And Constant Mercies was born in that worship moment."
