Drawing inspiration from two different Psalms, award-winning artist, Chris Tomlin has just released his latest single, "Waterfall ." This song, written for his upcoming album which is due out in October of this year, is about returning to your first love for God and feeling the power, strength, and never-ending flow of His love.
"Waterfall" opens up as an earnest prayer, singling out the words of David in Psalm 63 throughout the verses, the first of which says, "Oh God my God, I seek you. I wanna move when You move. You're more than I could long for. I thirst for you." The chorus picks up then with Psalm 42:7, which states, "Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls." This is reflected in the lyrics, "Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall, running wild and free. You hear my heart when I call, when I call, deep calls to deep."
