Also released earlier this week is a new album titled Running to Follow from Fellowship Creative. Fellowship Creative hails from the multisite church movement birthed in Grapevine, Texas. Producer CJ Eiriksson who has worked with the likes of U2 & Matchbox20 teamed up with Fellowship to produce Running to Follow.
Bonnot of Fellowship Creative says, "We want to create the most creative weekend experience possible for the person who's showing up, because it could be the one hour in their entire life that they give Jesus a shot." Running To Follow is a great representation of collaboration within a local church movement. "We did not set out to create some sort of agenda," Bonnot concludes. "We were inspired by the movement that we were part of in our church, and it's that movement that inspired this art. Now we're just excited to see how God's going to use that art to continue the movement, not just in our church but in the bigger picture of the story He's telling about who He is."
With a lilting pop sound on "Future Back," you'll hear horns and classic stylings that are tastefully unique to a modern worship project. "Running to Follow," the title track, exemplifies the energetic and up-tempo songs which, as most worship leaders know, are not always as easy to find. With the innovative sounds throughout Running to Follow, Fellowship Creative has lived up to their name and mission with this CD. Bonnot states, "We believe the church should be the most creative entity on the face of the planet."
