Join The Triumph is the latest release from Seattle-based worship band, Citizens & Saints (formerly Citizens). The album features a mix of revisited hymns and original songs that serve to remind the local church that they are part of the Big-"C" Church: a victorious body whose sole job is to proclaim God’s Kingdom across the Earth.
Lead singer and songwriter, Zach Bolen states, "I feel like there’s so much division right now. It’s really disheartening. I’m hopeful that somehow our music can bring some unity. We might have different views, but we’re ultimately citizens. We’re part of the same kingdom.” Both the band's name, inspired by Ephesians 2:19, and it's music reflect this ideal. "You Brought Me Back To Life" was released as a single earlier in the year and celebrates the way God saved us, freeing us from death and restoring us through his mercy. The chorus declares, "You’re the Lord of light shining in the dark. You’re the source of life beating in my heart. You’re the living hope, you’re the risen Christ. You restored my soul, oh you brought me back to life." With an 80's pop sound and an infectious beat, "The Mighty Hand Of God" speaks of God's faithfulness and how nothing can separate us from his love. It rejoices that "He will never let us go. The grip of God will hold. He will never let us go. In Christ, we are secure." The verses of "Father You Are All We Need" are taken directly from the Lord's Prayer. The song builds intensely, the chorus petitioning God for hope, faith, and trust in his guidance, praising him, "Thank you, thank you! Father you are all we need." Join The Triumph seeks to encourage unity among followers of Jesus as they are connected with the Gospel.
