NEW RELEASES | Week of 1/23/23

Housefires | How To Start A Housefire

Housefires' new album, How To Start a Housefire, is here! The collective continues to embrace a more unrefined sound that’s free of the safety and restraints that a normal studio and even live recording set often offers. Its stripped back setting furthers this idea by visually demonstrating a community that not only embraces its sound within.

Mitch Wong | Multiply

The new single testifies that Jesus, just as He did with the fish and the loaves, can multiply the faith that we place in His hands to work wonders and to glorify His Name.

Ocean & The Ghost | Ocean & The Ghost

From UPPERROOM Dallas, singer and songwriter duo, David Porcheddu and Jeremy (Remy) Shuck tag-teamed with producer Oscar Gamboa to create a newly formed project titled Ocean & The Ghost in 2022. The project experiments with new sounds while honoring some of the best expressions from genres and generations of the past. Sonically, Ocean & the Ghost affectionately embraces folk, rock, and a hint of lofi, as they own an etherial-pop sound that evokes a sense of honesty and freedom for humanity to remember the good in it all.

KingsPorch | Faithful Still

KingsPorch shares: "This song is special, and it is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of writing. The same God that parted the Red Sea, stood with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire, delivered Daniel from the lion’s den, and empowered David to conquer Goliath is the same God that is faithful to us today! Those are not just stories about something God did one time in history, they are stories of His character. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever! That’s why we have hope. We have a future. We are a child of the mountain mover."

New Podcast Episode with Housefires

We are excited to share our first podcast episode of 2023!

Recorded right before the Christmas holiday, Chris Baker spoke with Nate Moore, Kirby Kaple and Ryan Ellis of Housefires as they unpacked the conception of their group: how Housefires grew out of a desire to create approachable resources for their community and how they’ve fostered humble collaboration by encouraging vulnerability. They also touch on their upcoming album, How To Start a Housefire, coming out this Friday! You’ll be able to stream the record everywhere and find all the resources you need on MultiTracks.com.

Matt Redman | Halfway Empty

Matt shares: "‘Halfway Empty’ encourages the Church, reminding us that there has never been a day when the goodness, blessing, and favor of our God didn’t show up in our lives somehow. There’s an innate gentleness to ‘Halfway Empty’ as it was recorded in an acoustic style, emphasizing the tender heart of God towards his people.”

Katy Nichole | Please

“Jesus is constantly refining my heart,” shares Nichole. “Like a lot of the cries that are in the Psalms, when I find myself in a place of struggle, I turn back to Him. If Jesus could change my life then, He can change my life now.”

Blessing Offor | My Tribe

“This record feels like the end of the beginning of my career. I’ve been working hard for years now to get to this moment and My Tribe – the project and the people – make it all worthwhile 1000 times over,” Blessing claims. “I think there’s something uniquely universal and beautiful about the highs and lows of life and those feelings that we all experience. I’m proud to share my perspective of those things and I hope that no matter where you are, you’re able to find yourself somewhere on this record.”

Phil Wickham | This Is Our God

Phil shares: "When we sing about our God, we sing about a God who loves without condition, who gives grace to the sinner, who saves the one who calls out, who pulls people out of the pit and brings them into His heavenly kingdom. This is our God: a God who saves, a God who redeems, a God who makes beauty from ashes and a God who renews. This is our manifesto. I cannot wait to sing this song with the church. This is our God."

Bethel Music | Beauty

“I love this song because it feels very simple,” shares David. “The chorus is just 'Oh, you’re beautiful' and the verses build the context of why He is beautiful. It’s about acknowledging the radiance and Majesty of God. It takes us to a place of adoration and remembrance that He chose to take on the image of man to show us more of who God is.”

Shane & Shane | You've Already Won

"The lead single sets up this record in that it talks about what Jesus has done for us and what He's going to do for us," shares Shane & Shane. "This record is a walk through the scriptures, particularly as it pertains to what all God has done for us in Jesus...He’s coming back and He’s going to make all things new. That’s exactly what 'You’ve Already Won' talks about: what He’s done for us on the cross and what He’s coming to do."

Leeland | You're Not Done

Leeland shares: "One of our of favorite things about 'You're Not Done' is that it’s not only a song from the Father to us, but also can be an anthem you sing over someone you love. We pray this song will be a weapon of hope for you and anyone in your world who needs to hear it, don’t give up."

Planetshakers | Yes and Amen (Live in Manila)

Produced and written by Joth Hunt, Andy Harrison and Sam Evans, “Yes And Amen” was lifted by a chorus of thousands in Manila joining Planetshakers for this prayerful declaration of faith.

CityAlight | Yet Not I

Their EP, Yet Not I, is now available. "We pray that the lyrics and melodies of these songs would fix eyes, hearts, and minds on Jesus" shares CityAlight. "We pray that our songs might join the many thousands of songs written through history to encourage the church, and when they have played their role, to make way for the next ones. And we rejoice that one day the only name left standing will be the name of Jesus, as it should be.”

Jeremy Riddle | Live in the Prayer Room

Jeremy shares: "My simple prayer is that these songs would draw people to Jesus, deepen devotion to Him, and be useful to the worshipping church."

Aaron Williams | Crown Him

"I spent some time last Advent season reading ‘Advent’ by Fleming Rutledge" explains Aaron. "The reflections in that book were so deep and enlivening that I found myself excited to write a song about the beauty of the incarnation. I ended up collaborating with my good friend John Marc Kohl in the writing process which was so much fun. I love the end product. This song feels worshipful, theological, and accessible for anyone, and I’m super appreciative of Davy Flowers, one of my very favorite artists and worship leaders, featuring with me on this recording! I hope it might encourage you over the coming months as we all consider the beauty of Jesus incarnate."
