From the Blog
This week, we are bringing you a special guest post from Kim Walker-Smith in which she shares the heart behind Jesus Culture's newest single, "Love Has a Name."
I wrote the song “Love Has a Name” with my friends Ran and Ricky Jackson. We wanted to write a song that expressed who God is to us in every season, in the highs and lows of life He is there for us. There are so many different seasons and circumstances that we walk through in our lives, and we wanted to find a way to express how the Lord can meet us through each one. When I’m in a tough season of fighting to believe a promise of God, He is my promise, He is my breakthrough. When I’m overwhelmed and stressed out, He encourages me with His peace. When I’m sad or discouraged, He is my comforter, and I can lean on Him for joy!
I believe it deepens our relationship with God when we can see how He is the personification of love to us. I hope that this song can remind people of who God ism and how He is everything we need.
